We've been hearing an owl in our neighborhood for weeks now, very loud in the morning and evening, so I figured Athena was keeping an eye on us! Tonight at sunset, Becky spotted him on the peak of the neighbor's roof.
This is the best shot, though of course it was dark, and it can't compare to seeing him in person. He was hooting like crazy. Did you know an owl stretches out when it hoots, like a rooster crowing? I didn't until tonight. It was very cool. Thanks for the visit, Athena! I promise I haven't forgotten about Annabeth and Percy's dilemma at the end of the last book. I'm working on it!
